7-8-10 - U/15 Mountains v The Entrance Loss 0/4
The best the team have played. Great passing, solid defence and it was great to have Dominic back and playing again. Dom was in fine form and defended brilliantly in the first half did a great job as goalie in the 2nd half. A very well deserved player of the match to Milly Wade who did a fantastic job in her new position at offence and worked very well with Andrew Marshall to give the Entrance a run for their money.
24-7-10 - Mountains v Kincumber Loss 2/12
I don’t think anyone noticed how many goals Kincumber scored because the U/15’s were playing such a great game. All players were on fire and man of the match this week to Daniel Gibbs who scored the 2nd goal for the mountains today. Another beautiful goal by Chris Papas from way outside was also very exciting for the team.
17-7-10 - Mountauns v Gwandalan Loss 0/6
Several players away on holidays, thanks to Fergus and Chris for helping out.
The team played well and had several attempts at goal this week. Great Effort by Patrick Goodwin with slide saves and dives to receive player of the match.
3-7-10 - Mountains v Kariong Loss 0/7
Excellent game played by the U/15’s. Hard work by all the players to keep Kariong under control. Man of the match to Lenah who constantly put pressure on the Kariong players.
26-6-10 - Mountains v Woongarah Loss 0/11
U/15’s played a brilliant 2nd half to keep the score down and had several attempts at goals. Great work from the defence players with Jerome putting in another fine effort.
Lots of hard work from Patrick Goodwin chasing down the ball and pushing up the backs resulting in a man of the match award.
19-6-10 - Mountains v Umina Loss 14/0
Challenging game but all players kept trying and only allowed in 4 goals in second half.. Many good efforts but player of match awarded to Matthew Callaghan who got knocked down several times but came back trying harder than ever.
22-5-10 - Mountains v The Entrance Loss 0/6
A very fine effort put in by all the team. The 15’s certainly had a chance to win this week and matched up well against this team.
Congrats to Player of the Match Joshua Mackay who did a great job in defence getting the ball and placing some beautiful passes to his team mates.
15-5-10 - Loss 0/11
This is the first game where the players have lost interest in putting in their finest efforts. Who can blame them. The struggle to match the players ability and size on the opposing teams is starting to take its toll.
8-5-10 - Loss 0/11
This was a very physical game with the mountains being injured several times as inappropriate force against the mountains was not stopped by the referee.
The opposing team wiped out Thomas and Larissa who to their credit after time off the field and under ice came back on to both give a fine effort. The mountains was definitely out muscled, out sized and out classed today but showed great sportsmanship and played a clean game and in the second half spent as much time in the attack area as the defence area. Congrats to player of the match Larissa Schembri who didn’t let boys twice her size get the better of her.
1-5-10 - Loss 0/2
The players put in a very good effort today. We had some great attempts at goal in the first half but had to play a very defensive game overall. Two goals scored in the first half and great play by all the team to keep this score. A very well deserved player of the match to Jerome Kelly who was outstanding as goalie today jumping, sliding and using his boot to save many attempts at goal.
17-4-10 - 15C Kariong 3 Mountains 0
A very well matched game. All the team played today and it was a very good team effort. Jerome did a great job as goalie and just missed the goals scored. The defence and mid field worked extremely hard chasing every ball. No goals were scored till the second half.
Congrats to Andrew Marshall player of match- he seemed to be everywhere and chased every ball and did some excellent tackles and passes and almost scored a goal – just hitting the top bar.
10-4-10 - U/15 match Report Mountains v Woongarah
Loss 5/10
The team played an outstanding game and never gave up even when the score at half time was 5/1. We came back in the second half scoring 4 goals. The defence did a great job keeping up with much bigger players and played well the whole game. The attack placed some beautiful balls in front of the goals and there was some great passes resulting in goals. Thanks to David Schembri and LochiePeruch for helping out as 3 of our players were away.
Congrats to Harry Worner - player of the match for some beautiful goals.
