Under 6

17-4-10 - The mountains took to the field in anticipation of the game between Kariong and themselves. Mountains tried and tried to get a goal, but none would come. Suddenly, there was hope; Ewan kicked the ball over the heads of the opposition and Jacko took the ball up the field and came nail-bitingly close to scoring a goal. In the end, it probably came down to lack of energy that was usually supplied by the oranges that the Mountains were unable to score a goal. We are all looking forward to next weeks game.

10-4-10 -
Mountains v Umina
They started the game with a fire in their eyes, which was soon joined by dust and grass as the mountains put their bodies on the line in this heart racing game.. Even as Umina scored the first goal they did not give in. And as Umina scored their second goal they did not admit to defeat. Then, out of the blue, Will came running up the field, and with a collossal kick, he scored the goal that could change this game.

The crowd went wild, there was no stopping the euphoria that was spreading throughout the oval. After things had calmed down a bit, the game continued. As Umina tried to score another goal, the mountains took to defence, with the entire team playing as goalie. This plan was strange but effective, as Umina kicked ball after ball into the mountain goalies. When Umina kicked the ball again, a goal seemed immenant, but suddenly a strange thing happened the ball stopped right before the line! The players of both teams stopped and looked around, not quite knowing what to do in the instance of this strange phenomenon. Umina saved the day by kicking the ball away from the goals, and Ewan took the opportunity and kicked the ball away from the striking range. In the next few weeks we will be working on attack, as we have had enough defence to last us a year. Although Umina came out on top in the end, the mountains were not down hearted, even as they were shaking hands, they were contemplating the next time they would meet.
